The Band
ALL ENDS, founded in 2003 in Gothenburg, Sweden feature a sound housing somewhere between rock and metal that lives first and foremost through the fascinating voices of the two front-ladies, Tinna Karlsdotter and Emma Gelotte. It is this two-pronged female approach that distinguishes these Swedes from the rest of the crowd and gives them their own unique sound. The debut EP “Wasting Life” doesn’t sound like Nightwish or Within Temptation or Evanescence…on the contrary, it sounds like nothing other than ALL ENDS!
The fact that ALL ENDS is made up of five top musicians of their genre is evident in the magnificent “Alone”, which skillfully treads the line between metallic wrecking ball and pop anthem. And the title track “Wasting Life” is also equally characterized by the simultaneously powerfully and melodic guitar work that is simply irresistible in combination with the sleek grooves and whale-sized hooks.
This furious debut EP was produced by Christian Wolff (Within Temptation, Rage, Lingua Mortis, many more) and the Resetti Brothers (In Extremo, Exilia, many more).
Emma Gelotte (Vocals) grew up in a musician family and has listened to classics like Rainbow, Van Halen and Queensryche since she was a toddler. Tinna Karlsdotter (Vocals) has years of experience as a singer in musicals, but is now living out her real dream as a rocker. Influences like Kiss, Metallica and her favorite beverage (beer) say it all. Fredrik Johansson(Guitar) has already worked together with Jesper Strömblad in the death metal band ‘Dimension Zero’. In his last band ‘Chameleon’ he played together with In Flames bassist Peter Iwers, and has been a highly sought after studio musician for several years. Peter "Texas" Mårdklint (Guitar) has his roots more in the dark side and previously played in black metal band ‘Embraced’, goth-rock group ‘Funhouse’ and dark metal act ‘Tenebre’. Joseph “Joey” Skansås (Drums) already had a band at the tender age of ten (!) with singer Jocke and guitarist Thomas, who later went on to form ‘Hardcore Superstar’. After finishing school, he played with ‘Freak Kitchen’ bassist Christer and released CDs with ‘The Green Jesus Saviours’. ALL ENDS can hardly wait to take the world’s stages by storm, so they’re heading off throughout Europe at the end of April as one of the acts on the “Earthshaker Roadshock Tour” together with bands like Finntroll, After Forever and Tarot:
